Nicholls Wealth Management was established by Matthew Nicholls in 2010 and is a family run financial planning business. The business was established to work alongside Phil Nicholls’ mortgage broking business and provide his clients with the same high quality and reliable advice that Phil offers. Since then Nicholls Wealth Management has continued to grow steadily through referrals from existing clients, friends, family and our other referral partners. Our business is located in Mawson Lakes (Adelaide) and has clients from the city and regional areas of South Australia as well as a number of clients living interstate.
Our objective is to provide clients with honest and reliable advice, that will help guide them to reach their short and long term financial goals and objectives. We achieve this through a wide range of products provides, finding the best product to suit your specific needs.
We are not driven by fees or profits, rather by strong long-term relationships with our clients. We will take the time to get to know you, understand your needs & objectives and will come up with some suitable solutions on how we can help before starting to charge any fees. You wouldn’t purchase an item without first knowing exactly what you were getting for the cost and we think financial advice should be no different.
We understand that finding time between work, family, friends and other commitments is difficult and you may not have the time to meet with us throughout the day. This is why we offer to come out to you at your home or office afterhours or during normal business hours. We pride ourselves on making it as convenient as possible for you to get the right advice. Alternatively if you prefer you are always welcome to come by our office.
Matt Nicholls started working in the financial services industry in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Uni SA achieving a Merit award for finishing in the top 15%. He then began working at AMP (Hillross) where he completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. Matt was thrilled to have the opportunity to start Nicholls Wealth Management in 2010 and having the opportunity to work closely with his father Phil Nicholls, from whom he has watched and learnt from for many years.
Matt has always been interested in finance and enjoys the challenge of dealing with a wide range of clients, helping them reach a range of goals. Matt is passionate about ensuring that his clients are in a better financial position after having dealt with him and delivering quality advice.

This is the basis on which I (Matt Nicholls) built Nicholls Wealth Management and was the first thing my father Phil said to me when I started business. Both myself and Phil Nicholls have both built successful businesses based on this simply yet sometimes forgotten principal, having never had to advertise our businesses but consistently getting referrals from our existing clients.
We strive to make getting advice as easy as possible by offering not only to come and visit you during the day but also in the evening. We will come to you at your home (after you’ve had tea / after the kids are in bed) and bring everything necessary to get you started on your financial goals.
Every product is different and every client is different, with this in mind we established Nicholls Wealth Management under a financial planning license with no preferred products. Much like a mortgage broker we operate under a license with a wide range of providers, meaning that we can select the best product for you (not the product for which we work). We do the comparing for you and can simply explain the difference for you, so you can then make an informed decision.
Quality of advice is not valued by the price you pay for it. We are happy to say our advice costs are quite low compared to other financial planners, not because the service we offer is inferior but because of the way our business has been built on referrals from existing clients which reduces our costs of doing business. Usually any advice costs can be taken from your superannuation fund and for any advice with insurance recommendations, generally don’t incur any fee as we are paid via a commission from the insurer provider.
